Emma Stone’s fiancé Dave McCary beams as they stroll arm-in-arm on date in Los Angeles

Oscar winner Emma Stone’s fiancé – Saturday Night Live writer Dave McCary – beamed from ear-to-ear as they strolled arm-in-arm during a hot date in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

It was a rare PDA sighting for the 31-year-old bride-to-be and the 34-year-old groom-to-be, whom she reportedly met when she hosted the NBC sketch show way back in 2016.

The Zombieland: Double Tap actress – who relies on stylist Petra Flannery – wore a black turtleneck beneath a matching blazer, blue skinny jeans, and black kitten-heeled booties.  

The three-time Emmy nominee officially announced his engagement to Emma on December 4 in an Instagram snap where she showed off her $4,780 Catbird ‘Winter Pearl’ engagement ring.

Aside from various SNL sketches like ‘Wells for Boys’ – McCary and Stone have collaborated on his directorial effort, HBO’s My Favorite Shapes by Julio Torres, in which she voiced the character ‘Shoe.’

Dave has worked for SNL creator Lorne Michaels as far back as 2013, and he’s especially tight with regular castmember Kyle Mooney, whom he’s known since 8th grade.

The SoCal native also attended USC with the 35-year-old comedian, who co-wrote and starred in his 2017 directorial debut Brigsy Bear.  

Somehow SNL has transformed into an elite dating pool after celebs like Scarlett Johansson, Ariana Grande, and Ben Affleck found love behind the scenes (with Colin Jost, Pete Davidson, and Lindsay Shookus).

McCary is currently hard at work prepping this week’s episode, which will be hosted by former SNL writer John Mulaney and feature musical guest David Byrne.

The Arizona-born redhead will likely attend Yorgos Lanthimos’ (her director from The Favourite) untitled orchestral installation screening at the Stavros Niarchos Hall of the Greek National Opera on May 22, 23, and 27.  

It features a short film starring the Golden Globe winner and Frenchman Damien Bonnard, who was last seen in controversial director Roman Polanski’s 2019 period drama An Officer and a Spy.

Emma will next reprise her voiceover role as prehistoric teenage cavegirl Eep Crood in The Croods 2, which hits US theaters December 23 and UK theaters January 29, 2021.

Joel Crawford’s 3D-animated sequel also features Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Leslie Mann, Peter Dinklage, and Cloris Leachman.
