She shared a slow motion video of the tiny rodent hopping away as they opened up the metal cage.

‘Set a cutie little rat free this morning,’ she wrote. ‘REMINDER not to use deadly rat traps.’

A follow-up video showed the tiny intruder in the cage while they were driving to the park with a tiny bloody mark on its snout.

‘He got really scared and was running around the cage trying to get out and hurt his nose on the metal,’ she wrote, adding, ‘Poor baby.’
