Clearly overwhelmed, Emelia admitted she’d had reservations about her dish, and seemed shocked to have landed the first spot in the highly anticipated semi-final.

‘Oh, I just was, like, so nervous about making that dish. I just feel like I’ve made the best decision ever today. Like, ever…’ she stammered.

‘So excited! Oh, my God, I just can’t… I cannot believe it. I can’t believe it.’

‘I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Emelia for the win. I just love her personality, even when the chips are down she’s cracking jokes. I love this lineup and wouldn’t be upset at any of them winning but I’m @emeliajacksonMC all the way,’ added another.

But some thought fellow contestant Reynold Poernomo deserved to win the challenge, with Jock admitting it had been a hard decision.

‘Reynold is so confused. The dessert Emelia put up was what he used to make back in high school for an after school snack,’ quipped one viewer.

‘So Emelia makes something she knows how to make and has made before and gets to the semis whereas Reynold was actually brave and made a dish he’s never done before that showed skill and risk and doesn’t,’ wrote another.
