Ellen Pompeo works up a sweat on a hike with husband Chris Ivery

She has been spending time with her husband and three children during lockdown.

And Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo worked up a sweat with her partner Chris Ivery as they took a hike at Griffith Park in Los Angeles on Monday.

The actress, 50, wore a sporty white Adidas T-shirt and black leggings for the fitness session, while keeping safe in a face mask. 

The mother-of-three tied her chestnut tresses up in a ponytail and wore a black face mask as she stepped out with her husband of 13 years.

Chris, the chief marketing officer of Italian sportswear brand Sergio Tacchini, wore a patterned mask below his mouth.

He also cut a casual figure in a sleeveless shirt, Adidas shorts, trainers and a cap. 

The couple, who met in a grocery store in 2003, are parents to Stella, 10, Sienna, five, and Eli Christopher, three. 

Pompeo’s hike comes after she reunited recently with fellow Grey’s Anatomy co-star and good friend TR Knight.

They were spotted participating in a Black Lives Matter march in Los Angeles, following the police killing of George Floyd. 

She took a knee and put her hands up as Knight, 47, held up a ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign for the peaceful demonstration.

The Daredevil actress later said on her Instagram story: ‘We’re at a march for black lives, and we’re here to talk about the fact that they matter, and there’s machine guns — big ones — and aggression.

‘The cops weren’t so aggressive, but their stance is aggressive; they’re on rooftops, they’re in cars, they’re in tanks, and I haven’t ever seen that show of force.’

She added: ‘So, I’m just wondering why that is. Why at the Women’s March, there’s no machine guns, why at Pride marches, there’s no machine guns. But the Black Lives Matter march, machine guns everywhere.’

Pompeo has been on break from Grey’s Anatomy, since the 16th season ended early back in April, amid the growing coronavirus pandemic.
