Ellen DeGeneres in TEARS as she’s supported by wife Portia de Rossi on final episode of talk show

Ellen DeGeneres was in tears as she walked out to her beloved audience one last time, taking her final bow on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that is set to air tomorrow.

In a newly-released clip, the 64-year-old comedian emerges from behind a screen to a cheering audience, as she has always done over the past 19 seasons on the hit series.

A visibly overwhelmed Ellen could be seen struggling to hold back the tears as she stepped towards the audience, with her wife Portia de Rossi and brother Vance DeGeneres sitting in the front row.

Clearly getting emotional, the TV veteran put her hand on her heart as she said ‘thank you’ to the crowd, as Portia, 49, could also been seen looking teary-eyed.

For her final show, which will air in full tomorrow, Ellen will be joined by A-List guests Jennifer Aniston, P!nk, and Billie Eilish.

Friends icon Jennifer was the very first guest on Ellen’s show back in 2003, and this final episode marks her 20th appearance in total.

It has been a starry last few weeks for the show, that has featured guests including Oprah Winfrey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake, Zac Efron and Bruno Mars.

DailyMail.com first broke the news that the talk-show would be ending back in May last year, following her toxic workplace scandal that resulted in three top producers getting fired.

She confirmed the news herself shortly afterward in a statement saying: ‘When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged — and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore.’

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Wednesday, Ellen said that Oprah told her about the show ending: ‘I won’t really feel it until September, when I’d normally go back [into production].’

As the show comes to a close, the TV star will be spending time in Rwanda with her wife Portia, where she has opened an education campus helping save wild mountain gorillas.

Talking about the emotional final season, she said: ‘I knew going in that this season was going to be my last season, so I really tried to take everything in. And it’s funny because the last couple of months I was more emotional than I was in the last week or two.’

‘I got really emotional about two months out, but that last week I wasn’t because I really just wanted to enjoy it. I was working with [former monk] Jay Shetty a lot, too, on being present and I was. I was very present for all of it.’

The former sitcom star also told THR that a ‘big juicy film role would be appealing to her now she’s leaving daytime television.

She told them: ‘There’s definitely that opportunity, and there’s been a couple of offers for that. And it just depends on timing. That would be great.’

‘But then I also love doing stand-up, so I can always write another special and go out and [perform], which is [wife] Portia [de Rossi]’s preference. She really loved when we went out on what she calls, “a tour.” She doesn’t understand, we only went to seven cities.
