The blonde beauty ensured focus remained on her outfit as she opted for minimal accessories by just sporting a silver watch.

Mexican actress and producer Salma opted for an equally striking appearance as she was dressed in a sleeveless floor-length garment, complete with a bejeweled neckline.

Carrying her essentials in a classic box clutch, the Dogma star – who has been married to billionaire businessman François-Henri Pinault since 2009 – paired her sparkling wedding band with a chunky purple ring.

The Grown Ups actress framed her matte make-up look with a chic low bun, complete with curly twin bangs.

The Roads Not Taken tells the story of a day in the life of dementia sufferer Leo (Javier Bardem), who is cared for by his daughter Molly (Elle) as he floats through alternative lives of his past, including with his first wife Dolores (Salma).

Directed by Sally Potter, the movie was shot in just four days, and is inspired by the filmmaker’s brother.

At a conference earlier in the day, screenwriter Sally explained: ‘There is a lot of focus these days on identity, but I tend to think there is a crowd in everyone and we pick one and tend to perform it as ‘me’.

‘Now I’m back in Berlin with a film…in which Javier and I also talk in Spanish. It was never a challenge to speak poetry in Spanish.’

Salma’s outing at the film festival comes after she opened up about ‘how big of a risk it was to come to the United States in the first place and start again as an actress.’

In an interview with InStyle, the actress said she was ‘doing really well’ on the soap circuit in Mexico before she came to the States to start a career in film.

She discussed her struggle to launch Frida, a film that she produced and was later nominated for at the Oscars.

The brunette shared: ‘I had to fight for eight years to get Frida off the ground. Nobody wanted to make a story about a Mexican Communist artist with one eyebrow.

‘It was really hard. But I had a vision for it. And I’m proud that I produced it too. There was no “Oh, can I please have a credit?” No, no, no. I made that s*** happen.’
