Elizabeth Sobinoff tells Seb Guilhaus she’s not in love with him on Married At First Sight

Seb Guilhaus was left heartbroken on Wednesday’s episode of Married At First Sight, when his partner, Elizabeth Sobinoff admitted she wasn’t in love with him.

Reading a question put forward by the show’s ‘love experts’, Lizzie, 29, hesitated before confessing she wasn’t falling in love with Seb, despite their strong bond.

Her shock revelation left Seb, 30, crushed, as the other couples at the dinner party gasped, and even the ‘love experts’ were stunned.

‘I definitely think I want to get to know you more and see what it’s like in reality with you,’ Lizzie explained to Seb.

Seb admitted it was ‘difficult to hear’ Lizzie felt this way, especially because he’s already ‘got feelings’ for her.

Both Lizzie and Seb admitted that while they had been told they had been loved in previous relationships, they never reciprocated it or ‘believed it’.

But Lizzie said she was determined to change, admitting: ‘I do want to be in love, it’s just more the anxiety and the fear of the unknown with it.’ 

She then explained that leaving the experiment and being forced to work through her relationship issues without any outside help ‘scares me’.

Lizzie was then tasked with asking Seb who he thought was more committed to their relationship, and he told her he had given it his all.

‘I feel like you might have given more in this relationship than what I have,’ Lizzie told him, leaving them both emotional.

Seb later said he was worried Lizzie would try and ‘sabotage’ their relationship, even though things were ‘going well’.

‘It does worry me that Lizzie closes off. She tends to sabotage things when things are going well, and it scares me,’ he admitted.
