Nicole is best known for her marriage to comedian Eddie Murphy.
The pair met in 1988 at the NAACP Image Awards and struck up a romance shortly after.
The following year they welcomed their first daughter, Bria, who is now 31, and in 1992 Nicole gave birth to a son named Miles, who is now 28.

Nicole filed for divorce in 2005, citing ‘irreconcilable differences,’ but she and Eddie have remained friendly co-parents.
In 2012, she capitalised on her status as the ex-wife of one of the most famous comedians in existence by signing on to Hollywood Exes, which she starred on and produced.
The reality series also featured the ex-wives of Prince, Will Smith, R. Kelly and Martin Lawrence, among others.
