Ed Kavalee doesn’t hold back as he discusses losing Dancing With The Stars gong to Celia Pasquola

He came in at an impressive fourth place on the most recent season of Dancing With The Stars. 

But Ed Kavalee, 40, couldn’t resist unleashing his signature wit as he discussed his placing on the popular dance competition, which saw Celia Pasquola walk away as the coveted winner. 

Speaking to WHO, the comedian quipped: ‘I know what you’re going to ask – is it rigged? Yes, it is. It’s deeply rigged!’  

Ed also went on to joke that there was a huge difference between Celia actually doing well on the show and getting ‘scored well.’

‘I think if you were to look at it objectively, I was the best dancer and Travis Cloke was the worst. They weren’t my words, they were Todd McKenney’s (DWTS judge) he was texting me a lot during the show.’

All jokes aside, Ed was quick to admit that he Celia ‘is a great friend of mine. I’m happy for her.’ 

Celia and her dance partner Jarryd Byrne took out the top spot on Dancing With The Stars this year, while Christian Wilkins and Lily Cornish finished second.

Claudia Karvan and Aric Yegudkin finished in third while Ed and his dance partner Jorja Rae Freeman rounded out the top four. 

There was mayhem behind the scenes on the show as the impact of COVID-19 forced Channel 10 to pull the finale forward to Sunday, March 29. 

A few weeks earlier, the network also cancelled studio audiences amid the pandemic.

Currently, Ed’s fans can see him on his TV quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention.

Tom Gleisner serves as the show’s host while Sam Pang joins Ed as a permanent panellist.  

Meanwhile, on the personal front, Ed has been happily married to The Biggest Loser trainer Tiffiny Hall since 2014. The couple share two-year-old son Arnold.
