Heartbreaking scenes saw Bex try to take her own life, following a battle with her mental health and the pressures of starting university.

Her exit came not long after her on-screen best friend Lousie Mitchell (played by Tilly Keeper) left the show, as well as Danny Walters who played Keanu Taylor.

Talking about her exit at the time, Jasmine said: ‘I’ve had such a fantastic time playing Bex Fowler and loved being part of EastEnders but now feels like the right time to try something new.’
