Dolly Parton made a rare remark about her longtime marriage to Carl Thomas Dean while reflecting on their long-lasting love after first meeting when she was just 18. As she opened up about their 56-year marriage, which she has worked to keep out of the spotlight, the 76-year-old singer gushed about how they are very ‘different people.’

'He's kind of a loner so he doesn't really like being with anybody but me, when I'm home ¿ I mean, he's not one to kind of get out there and socialize that much,' she told Entertainment Tonight. She continued: 'He loves living on the farm, taking care of the property as he has for all these many years, and then, we just have a lot to talk about.'
