Delta Goodrem reveals her clothing on The Voice has left her with ‘cuts and bruises’

‘The blind auditions outfits have never been a walk in the park!’ Delta Goodrem reveals her clothing on The Voice has given her a ‘wedgie’ and even left her with ‘cuts and bruises’

Delta Goodrem has revealed looking good comes at a cost.

In a behind-the-scenes video for 9Now on Thursday, the 35-year-old Voice coach revealed many of her blind auditions outfits have left her bruised and battered.

‘Something will start to either dig into you. Like, one of my tops in season seven, I had cuts and bruises,’ she confessed.

The show’s coaches are required to wear the same outfits for several consecutive days during the blind auditions, and while Delta said she used to have ‘duplicate’ outfits, she doesn’t anymore.

She admitted this often makes for an uncomfortable few days in the judge’s chair on set.

‘One of my bodysuits, well, I won’t share with you what happened with that…’ she said, before adding, ‘It was giving me a wedgie!’

Delta, who this year opted for a black sequin pantsuit with a plunging blazer for the blind auditions, confessed viewers often have no idea how uncomfortable she is.

‘My point is, the blind auditions outfits have never been a walk in the park,’ she concluded.

She added sternly: ‘Do not go into the blind auditions lightly thinking that this outfit is your friend. It is not.’

Meanwhile, fellow coach Kelly Rowland said it’s important to choose a blind auditions outfit that’s ‘fabulous’ but ‘won’t dig into my body’.

But the 39-year-old former Destiny’s Child singer confessed she will ‘always sacrifice my feet’ for a beautiful pair of shoes.

And it’s not just the women who are subjected to painful fashion choices, with fellow coach Guy Sebastian revealing he once wore a pair of shoes on the show that left his feet bleeding.
