In October last year, the former Manchester United ace visited the home of Haig Club – the brand he helped create in 2014 – in Scotland.

Speaking of his experience, the media personality said in a promotional clip: ‘It was so inspiring to be back in Scotland and to reconnect with the team who create our whisky everyday.

‘I have so much respect for their knowledge and expertise and I feel so proud of how far we’ve taken Haig Club since we launched.

‘I’ve loved coming back and meeting some of the incredible mixologists who have created original cocktails for us and to see Cambus Cooperage was really inspiring.’

Earlier in the month, David witnessed his team Inter Miami CF mark their first match in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

Inter Miami lost 1-0 to LAFC thanks to a chip by former Arsenal player Carlos Vela.

Six years have passed since the former midfielder announced he would exercise an agreement with former club Los Angeles Galaxy to develop his own soccer franchise at a cost of $25million (£19.5m).
