Tones And I exploded onto the scene in 2019 with her hit single, Dance Monkey. 

And on Thursday, it was revealed the Australian hit-maker, Tones Watson, has topped the list of the most streamed songs written by Aussies. 

According to APRA’s Year In Review report for the 2019/2020 financial year, the 27-year-old landed the number one spot with Dance Monkey.

She also took out second place with her hit, Never Seen The Rain, and seventh place with, Johnny Run Away.  

The three songs have been streamed more than 2.5billion times over the past year. 

Meanwhile, there were also several classic Aussie rock songs on the list.

They included, Cold Chisel’s Khe Sanh and Flame Trees, Men At Work’s Down Under and AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night.  

Flume, 5 Seconds of Summer, Dean Lewis and Hilltop Hoods all had multiple entries on the list, too.  

Meanwhile, TV Blackbox recently reported that Tones and I has signed up to appear as a coach on Channel Seven’s reboot of The Voice next year.

According to the publication, Ricki-Lee Coulter will also join the show as one of the new faces replacing current judges Boy George, Kelly Rowland, Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian. 

Channel Seven appears to be giving the show a complete overhaul.  

Hosts Darren McMullen and Renee Bargh, who presented the 2020 season, will not be returning next year.

At this stage, the only confirmed talent is Sonia Kruger, who previously hosted the singing show on Nine.
