Dan Osborne has been left heartbroken after his grandmother died of coronavirus.

The former TOWIE star announced the sad news on Instagram on Monday, sharing a family photo on what would have been his nan’s birthday.

Dan, 29, begged his followers to be careful, explaining that his healthy and active grandmother suddenly became ill ten days ago.

Osborne has been left heartbroken by his beloved nan’s death from coronavirus.

Sharing a photo of his grandparentst taken on his wedding day in 2017 with wife Jacqueline Jossa, Dan told his fans: ‘Happy birthday to my nan too. Can’t believe after all these years on this planet we lost you to this virus.

‘It’s only been a few days and grandad missed you like mad. Please give him strength. We love you nan.’ 

Dan later posted a video on his Stories, thanking fans for their messages of support as he explained how quickly his grandmother had detoriated. 

‘Just want to say thank you for all the messages wishing your thoughts and love to my family,’ he said.

‘Obviously it sucks. Anyone with old people in your life, be super careful,’ adding that he was keeping safe in his work with constant testing.

‘If you’ve got to work just be extra careful. We’ve got these instant tests which helps you know you’re not spreading anything,’ he explained. 

‘My nan was fine a week and a half ago and now she’s not with us. It sucks.

‘It hasn’t even sunk in yet. She was going to work every day before all this rubbish happened.’ 

Dan has spent lockdown in his Essex home with wife Jacqueline and their children Ella, five, and Mia, two, along with Dan’s son from a previous relationship, seven-year-old Teddy.
