Cyrell Paule has spoken out against racist attitudes towards Asian Australians amid fears over the spread of coronavirus.

The former Married At First Sight star, 30, told the Huffington Post on Tuesday: ‘All in all, it’s disgusting behaviour. People don’t deserve that at the end of the day.’

Cyrell, who is of Filipino descent, claimed she’d recently witnessed racist behaviour in Chatswood, a Sydney suburb where 34 per cent of the population are of Chinese background.

‘I’d love to say for everyone to stop but even without the coronavirus, we live in a society where racism doesn’t stop. It just keeps going,’ she said.

‘If it’s not the coronavirus, it’s the colour of your skin in general.’

Cyrell recently welcomed a son named Boston with her boyfriend, Love Island star Eden Dally, who is white.

Amid the COVID-19 crisis, she fears that her child will experience racism ‘because he is half-Asian’.

During her pregnancy, Cyrell told Daily Mail Australia she’d experienced racist trolling due to being in an interracial relationship.

‘It did a lot of damage, even with us, as much as it hurts to say it. It caused arguments,’ she said in October.

‘Eden told me, “Why are we listening to the worst of others, when we should be believing in each other?”

‘The truth of the matter is, you try and do that but it still hurts – and to top it off, [the stress] then goes onto your child.’

Cyrell gave birth to her son, Boston, on February 9.
