Courtney Act to appear on Channel Seven’s Dancing With The Stars: All Stars

EXCLUSIVE: Courtney Act will appear on Channel Seven’s Dancing With The Stars reboot as it’s revealed the popular performer has been secretly quarantining in Sydney

Dancing with the Stars is set to return with an all stars season in 2021.

And it appears more than likely that Courtney Act will appear on the Channel Seven reboot, two years after placing as runner-up on the Channel 10 version of the show.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the 38-year-old performer – whose real name is Shane Jenek – has been secretly quarantining in Sydney ahead of filming next month.

‘Courtney has been trying to hint at her return always making references to the show and sharing videos dancing while in quarantine,’ said a insider.

The source continued: ‘Shane has been working out every day since getting out of hotel quarantine last week, trying to get shape and going for walks.’

In a world first, the network recently announced that the reality TV show would be ‘refreshed, re-imagined and reborn as a unique television event’ later this year.

While Sonia Kruger is rumoured to become a host, Seven has remained tight-lipped on its official lineup.

Dancing With The Stars was dropped by Channel 10 in October after a two-year revival on the network. Seven, who previously owned the rights from 2004 to 2015, is now reviving the show once again.

It comes after Courtney shot down rumours she was back Down Under to host or appear on RuPaul’s Drag Race Australia, which begins filming January 29 in New Zealand.

‘Everyone’s trying it, but I promise you I have nothing to do with Drag Race, and I’ll tell you why,’ Shane told The Project on Friday.

Nope! Last week, Courtney appeared to dispel the rumours on The Project - saying it would be logistically impossible, seeing as she's just completed a two-week quarantine in Sydney rather than New Zealand where the show will be filmed

‘I was reading that RuPaul and 16 people have landed in Auckland to film Drag Race – so I can assure you that if I were involved, that I would not fly to Sydney to quarantine for two weeks, only to fly to Auckland to quarantine for two weeks.’

While hosts, judges and contestants on Dancing With The Stars: All Stars have not been announced, it is expected to feature some of the biggest names to appear on the series since it began in 2004.

These could include Bec Cartwright, Pauline Hanson, Grant Denyer, Fifi Box, Adam Brand, Tina Arena, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Manu Feildel and Christian Wilkins.
