Contestants are set on FIRE during a death-defying challenge on Channel Seven golf show Holey Moley

While there’s been no shortage of dangerous courses on Holey Moley, the extreme miniature golf show took things to a whole new level during Wednesday’s episode.

The hit Channel Seven competition series introduced a new course, known as ‘Dragon’s Breath’, which saw the contestants set on fire.

Commentator Matt Shirvington described the daring course as ‘one of our more dangerous holes’.

‘We’re about to see something that’s never been done before on Australian television – lighting our fellow human beings on fire!’ added co-commentator Rob Riggle.

The 50-year-old actor added: ‘The name of this hole? “Dragon’s Breath”. The original name of this hole was “Lawsuit”.’

Contestants Jason and Michelle both stepped onto the course wearing fireproof safety suits, designed to look like knights.

After receiving a pep talk from the show’s stunt safety officer, Jason and Michelle were sealed into their suits before teeing off.

Rob joked that the contestants needed a safe word, and added: ‘We’re laughing, ’cause he’s about to die.’

As Jason stepped up to take his swing, four dragons spat fire directly onto him, setting his suit alight.

‘Oh my God! What are we doing to these people?’ screamed a horrified Matt, 42.

With his suit on fire, Jason continued to play golf, as the dragons spat out even more flames directly onto him.

Finally, two stunt safety officers came over to him with fire extinguishers to put out the flames.

Next it was Michelle’s turn, and as the terrified football coach stepped up to swing, it wasn’t long before the dragons spat fire onto her, too.

But after nearly scoring a hole-in-one, she appeared to loosen up, skipping across the drawbridge, despite flames engulfing her suit.

‘She is barbecuing! Hot to trot!’ shouted Rob.
