He revealed he auditioned with the song for Lauryn Hill while he was a junior in college.
He went to the studio one day with a friend named Tara who was friends with Lauryn; The artist was working on the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in the spring 1998 and during a break while working on the song Everything is Everything, Tara suggested he play songs for the singer.
He played Stevie’s song for her and he got the gig; he plays the piano for the song Everything is Everything.
Continuing with the story, John said he ended up auditioning to go on tour with her, planning to drop out of school to do the tour if he got the gig.

She joked she wonders who she would have married instead because ‘you’re the one that did it [breaking up]’ before he hushed her and went into singing the song.

Chrissy said Andy Cohen requested the Vanderpump Rules theme song and he sang it.
He sang a song called Conversations in the Dark from his new song, revealing his kids love dancing to this song.
He also sang Bridge Over Troubled Water before their eldest daughter Luna, who turns four next month, joined them; they are also parents to son Miles, who turns two in May.

He said that Chris Martin passed this social media concert idea to him to do next and he says Miguel and Jhene Aiko will do one soon, as well as Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth.
