Chris Martin sticks to casual workout gear as he stays in shape with a run and a bike ride in Malibu

Chris Martin was hard at work on his age-defying physique on Thursday in Malibu.

The 43-year-old Coldplay frontman was spotted working up a sweat in the coastal city as he rode his bike with a friend.

Later, the Grammy winning singer, who used to be married to GOOP founder Gwyneth Paltrow, doubled his cardio workout with a brisk run.

Chris was dressed casually with a sporty Nike charcoal shirt with long sleeves, along with black Nike athletic shorts.

He bundled up for his workout session with both white and blue T-shirts on underneath his outerwear.

The pianist wore blue, white and green trainers and added a navy blue helmet for his bike ride.

He zoomed down the roads in a rugged baby blue bicycle while blocking out the sun with black Ray-Ban Wayfarers.

As many gyms are still closed throughout Los Angeles, Chris stuck with much safer exercise outdoors, particularly as COVID-19 cases have been climbing throughout the nation.

Although Chris worked out with a pal, his girlfriend Dakota Johnson, 30, wasn’t present for his outing.

The two have been together since October of 2017, though they were rumored to have briefly split in the summer of 2019.

Chris had previously married another actress, Gwyneth, in 2003, but the two famously announced that they were ‘consciously uncoupling’ in 2014.

Gwyneth, 48, filed for divorce the following year, and it was finalized in 2016.

The former couple share a lookalike 16-year-old daughter Apple and a son, Moses, 14.

Since ending her marriage, Gwyneth has remarried to the Glee and American Horror Story co-creator Brad Falchuk, 49.

In August, the Royal Tenenbaums star opened up about the process of ending her marriage in an essay for British Vogue.

However, just last month, Gwyneth once again spoke about Chris and their marriage in a new essay for British Vogue.

‘We didn’t quite fit together. But man, did we love our children,’ she said of her marriage.

‘Between the day that I knew and the day we finally relented to the truth, we tried everything.

‘We did not want to fail. We didn’t want to let anyone down. We desperately didn’t want to hurt our children. We didn’t want to lose our family,’ she continued.

The actress also shared the stress she and Chris felt about announcing their separation to the children.

‘I bent myself into every imaginable shape to avoid answering them. But one day, despite all our efforts, I found that I was not at a fork in the road. I was well down a path.

‘Almost without realizing it, we had diverged. We’d never find ourselves together in that way again,’ she added.
