‘It’s game-changing!’ Channel Nine sports presenter Erin Molan reveals her surprising new career path

Nine sports reporter Erin Molan made an exciting announcement on Thursday.

The 37-year-old journalist and media personality announced on Instagram that she’s launching a ‘game-changing’ new line of button-down baby singlets.

The mother-of-one revealed her daughter Eliza, now two, hated being dressed in ‘conventional’ singlets that had to be pulled over her head and gave her the idea for the line.

‘From the moment Eliza was born we hated putting traditional singlets on her – she hated them equally,’ Erin wrote.

The 37-year-old went on to explain: ‘She would go from a perfectly settled bubba to distressed the second we’d try and put a singlet over her head and don’t start me on the struggle of trying to bend her arms through!’

‘I looked online to try and find baby singlets that opened so we wouldn’t have to go over her head. I couldn’t find any. I reached out to multiple other parents to get their thoughts and ALL shared similar frustrations!’

Erin explained she took a few of Eliza’s singlets to a local tailor and had them ‘attach zippers, buttons and velcro’.

‘It seriously changed our lives! We could wrap Eliza in a singlet rather than go over her head. It made such a difference for us that I decided I wanted to create these for everyone,’ Erin said.

She went on to admit her design was rejected by a ‘fair few’ larger companies, so she eventually decided to patent the design and contact her former midwife, who happened to have a babywear company in Spain.

‘And so started a long journey of prototypes and testing to finally reach our end product. We did a photo shoot just before COVID-19 hit… so we are beyond excited to finally bring the Babi Burrito,’ Erin told her followers.
