Celebs Go Dating: Wayne Lineker, 58, is SLAMMED as ‘disrespectful’ by Jodie, 41,

Wayne Lineker was slammed as ‘disrespectful’ by his date Jodie Burling during a tense conversation on Monday’s Celebs Go Dating.

The businessman, 58, appeared to have chemistry with the blonde beauty, 41, until new arrival Billie-Jean, 25, caught his eye on Sunday.

After going on a date with the young model, Jodie told Wayne she thought the pair were ‘all over each other’, despite him telling her he wanted another date.

Pulling Wayne aside after his date with Billie-Jean, Jodie said: ‘The thing I really want to talk to you about is, you said you still want to take me out on a date. 

‘The way you’ve walked back in tonight all over each other in front of me, I think it’s quite disrespectful considering you still want to take me out on a date. 

‘I don’t feel that’s the way to go about it. I did put you down as an old school gentlemen with old school gentlemen manners.’

Wayne insisted Jodie, who he knew prior to the show, caught his eye the second she walked into the house as he replied: ‘I fancied you. I come into the house, I [was] so excited to see you.’

Jodie shot back: ‘And the first day someone else comes in, you’re holding hands, all over each other. If you still want to take me on a date, that’s the wrong way to go back it. I don’t think it’s going to happen now.’

Not sounding too upset, Wayne replied: ‘OK cool,’ before he added: ‘With Billie, it wasn’t to hurt you, I wasn’t trying to do that.’

‘It was a bit disrespectful,’ Jodie said. ‘I don’t want someone to mug me off. Don’t ask me to go on another date and then walk in with another girl all over you.’

Sounding remorseful, Wayne said: ‘I apologise for the way I acted.’

Jodie insisted: ‘I’ve got too much respect for myself.’

Trying to turn on the charm again, Wayne quipped: ‘Now I fancy you again because you’re angry at me.’ 

Wayne and Billie-Jean went on a double date with Tom Zanetti and his date where the club owner admitted to her he didn’t have romantic feelings for Jodie.

He told her: ‘I’ve been single for three years now and my children have said I need a girlfriend. I’m quite knowledgeable about the modelling industry.

Billie-Jean asked: ‘Have you had a model girlfriend before? Is that your type?’

Wayne replied: ‘Of course it is.’

‘What’s the situation with you and Jodie?’ she asked, to which Wayne said: ‘We got on really well but it’s not like that.’

Billie-Jean replied: ‘So you’re not going to still be dating?’ 

‘Not with Jodie, not in that way,’ Wayne said.

However, it appears Jodie ends up forgiving Wayne for his behaviour as in a preview clip for Tuesday’s show, the pair are seen going on another date.
