Catherine Tyldesley shows off her washboard abs in a tiny green crop top as she celebrates her fitness being ‘back on track’

She has been busy filming ITV’s new drama Viewpoint in Manchester. 

And Catherine Tyldesley showcased the hard work that goes into being a leading lady on Friday as she took to Instagram to share a sensational snap.

The former Coronation Street star, 37, donned a matching set of green and black leggings and sports bra that showed off her gym-honed abs.

The much-loved actress held her arms in the air and clenched her biceps in order to reveal the full extent of her magnificent form. 

Catherine grinned at the camera for the photograph, with a light slick of gloss and eyeliner accentuating her natural beauty.   

Explaining the significance of her gym pose, Catherine explained in the caption that she has recently reached a fitness milestone.

The brunette beauty penned:  ‘It’s taken such a long time after a huge battle with hormonal imbalances/injuries/ meds a few months back. But… my fitness is finally getting back on track!!!’

In recent weeks Catherine has been in the midst of filming ITV’s newest drama Viewpoint, which follows a tense police surveillance investigation into a close Manchester community. 

The drama also stars Noel Clarke. who takes on the role of surveillance detective, DC Martin King, as he investigates missing primary school teacher, Gemma Hillman, played by Amy Wren.  

Catherine’s snap came after she recently hit back at a troll who claimed she has ‘big fat legs’.

The star took to Instagram last month to call out the social media user as she insisted: ‘This s**t don’t wobble.’

Referencing her strict workout schedule, the actress proved she’s proud of how far she’s come from being a size 22 teen as she added: ‘I guarantee I could deadlift or squat your entire body weight, my love.’

The Strictly Come Dancing star addressed the naysayer directly as she said: ‘It’s not often your Auntie Cath gets trolled, I’m very lucky like that. I’ve got lots of wonderful, positive people in my life.

‘You do get the occasional twonk, so to the guy yesterday who said I had ‘big fat legs’, babes, I’ve been training these legs for seven years. This s**t don’t wobble, and I guarantee I could deadlift or squat your entire body weight, my love.

‘So things just got really awkward, really fast, didn’t they? God bless ya, darling. Find the light, come on.’
