Anxious shoppers around the country have been stocking up on toilet paper, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And on Thursday, Carlin Sterritt was caught short on loo roll and was forced to use the very last sheet in a TikTok video shared to Instagram Stories.

The 30-year-old Bachelorette winner was accused of being ‘disgusting’ by fans when he shared footage of a soiled piece of toilet paper, as he sat on the toilet.

‘That is disgusting, UNFOLLOWING NOW!!!’ one disgruntled follower wrote in a direct message. 

‘Yep it was so unnecessary, you are better than that,’ another wrote, as well as one who simply said: ‘STOP THIS NOW.’

Carlin quickly pointed out that the soiled sheet was simply ‘chocolate ice cream’, and was amazed by the ‘precious’ people who failed to see the humour.

‘Omg [face palm emoji],’ he wrote in response to a direct message. ‘It’s chocolate ice cream. NO ONE would do that!!!!’

The fitness trainer later added: ‘I’ve had to explain my joke but we got there in the end… my humour probably will never change.’   

Anxious shoppers in Australia and abroad have been stripping shelves bare of essentials including toilet paper, hand towels, pasta and toothpaste, amid fears over the spread of coronavirus.   

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness accompanied by fever, coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath and fatigue. It can produce pneumonia.
