Caprice Bourret stocks up on food at the supermarket and protects herself with a face mask

She has been left worried after her best friend in Los Angeles has ‘taken ill’ with coronavirus.

And Caprice Bourret made sure she was ready to stay indoors during the UK’s lockdown, as she headed to the supermarket in London on Tuesday to stock up on food and household items.

The model, 48, protected herself during the ongoing pandemic as she walked out with a face mask, and also wore a pair of blue latex gloves.

Preparation: Caprice Bourret protected herself with a face mask as she stocked up on food at the supermarket in London on Tuesday

Caprice loaded up a trolley full of food packed into bags for life, and she also had a large pack of kitchen roll for quarantine.

She kept things casual for the outing by wearing a loose grey hoodie over black leggings that were tucked into matching trainers.

Her blonde locks were styled into a sleek, straight style, and she used a light palette of make-up for the occasion.

Caprice is now taking extra precautions to ensure she does not contract the virus following a ‘worrying phone call’ with her friend overseas, who is feeling ‘the worst he has ever felt in his life.’

Her outing comes after she found herself at loggerheads with a medical expert during an appearance on the Jeremy Vine Show on Monday, when they discussed COVID-19.

The erstwhile Dancing On Ice contestant was seen debating with Dr. Sarah Jarvis on how best to curtail the pandemic’s growth when she insisted the UK should be following Taiwan and Singapore’s model with a two-week shutdown.

As she shared her view, Caprice was told by Dr. Jarvis: ‘No disrespect, but unless you have read every scientific paper and statistical modelling paper that’s come out you cannot argue with me on that. You can have an opinion but it’s not a fact.’

Looking into things: Showing no signs of relenting, Caprice stood firm and shot back: 'Let me read you the facts: In Taiwan and Singapore early on everyone was wearing surgical masks¿'
