Candice Warner reveals SAS Australia changed her public image and why scandal helped her marriage

Candice Warner reveals how SAS Australia repaired her scandal-prone public image – and why her marriage to cricketer David is stronger than ever

She jumped from a helicopter, waded through ice-cold waters and even survived a humiliating interrogation about her infamous ‘toilet tryst’.

But Candice Warner, 35, says she has no regrets about joining SAS Australia, insisting her scandal-prone pubic image has actually improved since the show went to air.

‘[The feedback from viewers has] been fantastic, not just for myself but for my family,’ the wife of cricketer David Warner told The Morning Show on Wednesday.

‘Just the positive feedback, whether it be on social media or someone down the street, it left so much with everyone. And I think the public really resonate to certain parts, to me and my honesty.’

‘So it’s been a really, really a lovely change,’ she beamed.

The Warners have faced their fair share of high-profile scandals over the years, from David’s 2018 ball-tampering scandal to Candice’s infamous 2007 ‘toilet tryst’.

However, during her interview with The Morning Show, Candice insisted that scandal has actually been the secret behind her rock-solid marriage.

‘As a couple we’ve always been so strong, but I think even more so now… and just confronting everything head-on, not backing away or hiding behind anyone or anything.’

‘We’ve always tackled everything had on and been honest. So for us, we are super strong and I always say we work together really well as a team.’
