The eldest son of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced Tuesday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, 39, is in isolation, despite reportedly having no symptoms.
He is the fourth member of the family to be infected by the coronavirus, following the president himself, first lady Michelle Bolsonaro and Flávio’s brother Jair Renan Bolsonaro.
President Bolsonaro tested positive for the coronavirus on July 7 and spent 20 days in isolation, later complaining about feeling weak and having ‘mold’ in his lungs.
First lady Michelle, Flávio’s stepmother, was diagnosed with the virus on July 29.
The president’s youngest son, Jair Renan , 22, tested positive for the virus ten days ago.

Flávio Bolsonaro said he has being treated with azithromycin and chloroquine, an anti-malarial drug that was touted both by Brazil’s president and by U.S. President Donald Trump, despite clinical trials that found it ineffective.
The Brazilian leader has downplayed the virus’ severity, once labeling it a ‘little flu’, and has sparred with state governors, arguing against restrictions on economic activity he claims will prove far more damaging than the disease.
His approach to the pandemic runs counter to most health experts´ recommendations.

On Monday, Bolsonaro championed the use of hydroxychloroquine and trumped up his background in athletics as a reason for mild symptoms during an event billed Defeating COVID-19′.
The far-right leader has gone as far as saying his athletic past shielded him from the ravaging virus’ effect.
‘That history of an athlete, the press feasted on it, but when [COVID-19] gets one of you wimps, your chance of surviving is quite a bit lower,’ Bolsonaro told reporters on Monday, using the Portuguese colloquial word ‘bundao’.
‘You only know how to do evil, to use a pen largely for evil. Your chance of surviving is quite a bit lower.’
Brazil so far has registered over 3,669,995 cases and 116,580 deaths, second in the world only to the United States.
Several members of Bolsonaro’s staff also have tested positive for Covid-19, among them eight Cabinet members.
