Big Brother’s big tantrum! Mat Garrick and Daniel Gorringe rip off their microphones and threaten to QUIT after Sophie Budack’s shock return

In another Big Brother twist, evicted contestant Sophie Budack was allowed to return to the house on Wednesday’s episode.

And her surprise comeback left ‘alpha players’ Daniel Gorringe and Mat Garrick fuming, as they threatened to quit the show altogether.

Mat ripped off his microphone pack when host Sonia Kruger announced the shocking news, and both men stormed off to the diary room to complain.

Sophie and Kieran Davidson had been secretly locked away in Big Brother’s White Room for several days after their evictions, unbeknownst to the other housemates.

They were given the option to steal a portion of the prize money and leave the show, or return to the house and re-enter the competition.

Kieran decided to leave, taking home $15,000 in the process, while Sophie opted to return to the compound.

After being told of Sophie’s comeback, Mat changed his clothes and looked ready to leave the house in protest.

He snapped: ‘Big Brother, what the hell was that, mate? How many times have you got to beat people before they’re done? Gone?’

The mining electrician was referring to the fact that Angela Clancy had also been allowed to return to the house post-eviction earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, former AFL star Daniel was fuming, saying: ‘I’ll walk! I’ve had enough. Pull me out of the house.’

He added: ‘Five minutes ago I had a one-in-four chance, now it’s one-in-five. What’s the deal? You’ve blindsided me!’

‘Twists are an integral part of Big Brother’s game, you knew this, Daniel,’ Big Brother responded, firmly.

Writing's on the wall! Sophie had been plotting her revenge on Mat and Dan from the White Room, and had even scrawled 'revenge is a b***h' on the wall

But Mat wasn’t satisfied, and said: ‘We made a massive call to get rid of Sophie, and now she’s coming back with a vengeance!’

Earlier in the episode, Sophie had been plotting her revenge on Mat and Dan from the White Room, and had even scrawled ‘revenge is a b***h’ on the wall.

Mat and Dan had betrayed Sophie’s trust on Tuesday’s episode by voting her out despite having made a secret ‘top four pact’ with her and Chad Hurst.
