Big Brother stars plot MAJOR blindside during secret 3am meeting

Big Brother housemates plot SHOCK blindside during secret 3am meeting – and it results in the show’s closest eviction vote ever

The race is well and truly on for the $250,000 prize on Big Brother Australia.

And on Tuesday’s episode, Shane Vincent and Chad Hurst almost pulled of a shock blindside pact that could have turned the competition on its head.

At 3.30am, while their housemates were fast asleep, they plotted to break up the dangerous ‘alpha pack’ trio: Dan Gorringe, Mat Garrick and Xavier Molyneux.

With 13 housemates left vying for the show’s cash prize, Shane thought it was time to make a big move.

‘I’ve come to realise that there is definitely a pecking order in the house. Dan, Mat and Xavier control the vote and it’s a wake-up call that it’s time to start playing this game,’ he told Big Brother in the diary room at 3am.

Shane checked to see if the ‘alphas’ were asleep by peering through the bedrooms’ shared window, before quietly discussing strategy with Chad.

‘If it comes down to a live vote man, you’re not beating Dan, Mat or Xav. No one is in this house. I’d vote for ’em, you know what I mean?’ he explained.

Meanwhile, Mat’s ears appeared to be burning as he woke up during their sneaky discussion and tried to eavesdrop on the conversation.

Shane continued: ‘I don’t want to be picked off by them. When I get an opportunity I’m going to strike, I think Mat is a definite threat.’

Later in the episode, ’80s aerobic icon Marissa Rancan won the right to nominate and put up Mat, Xavier and Zoe George for eviction.

The marriage celebrant, 39, chose to act fast on recruiting more housemates to vote Mat off the series in a secret meeting in the house’s ‘green room’.

He campaigned for Chad, Sophie Budack, Hannah Campbell and Sarah McDougal to also vote off ‘alpha’ Mat, and they agreed.

‘I’m going to vote Matty. If it comes down to finals with Matty, you’re not winning. Broken Hill, footy player, Aussie bloke – Australia’s going to love him,’ he pleaded his case to his co-stars.

However, it was mummy blogger Zoe who was eventually booted off the series with six votes – just one more than Mat received.
