Pete and Nikki spent time together in November 2014 and were pictured together on his Instagram page.

They also reunited in 2015 when he surprised her during her return to the Big Brother house.

And in October 2016 the pair had a reunion on live television when they both appeared on Loose Women.

At the time Nikki said: ‘I have definitely calmed down since, I can assure you. I will always be fond of Pete.’

Pete joked that Nikki had got too big for her boots since shooting to fame.

He quipped: ‘We used to see each other. Then she got all famous. Where’s my phone call?’

Talking about her experience of being part of the Big Brother phenomenon, Nikki added: ‘I did it (the show) again and did it again. I’ve just been blessed to have been able to be in Big Brother in the first place. I was such a fan of the show.’

Meanwhile, Pete – who suffers from Tourette’s – insists he’s glad he raised the profile of the condition, which causes sufferers to make involuntary noises and movements called tics.

Pete explained: ‘I bigged up Tourette’s. Made it cool. I had people with Tourette’s Syndrome in Australia contact me. It’s calmed down so much after ten years.

‘This (being on live TV) would never have happened 10 years ago. All those kids out there, don’t worry, it does calm down with age.’
