Big Brother Australia intruder Laura Clare looks almost unrecognisable 13 years after her appearance on the popular show.

Last week, the reality TV star posted a hilarious throwback video of her time in the Big Brother house to TikTok.

Laura, 31, was responding to a viral video challenge that asks users to humble brag about something they ‘legitimately liked before it was cool’.

Laura placed 12th on the 2007 season, the same series where Aleisha Cowcher became the youngest winner in the Australian franchise’s history.

‘I don’t know if I should brag about this,’ she began, while playing old footage of herself on Big Brother.

Rocking a poncho and ’emo hair’ with a dark side sweep fringe, Laura cringed and laughed as she watched back the clip.

'I got made fun of for this': The blonde, who is now a musician, was seen using a camera to take photos of herself from a high angle with her arm outstretched on the reality TV show

‘I got made fun of in 2007 for taking photos of myself,’ she laughed, adding: ‘the irony. Ahead of my time.’

Laura made headlines in 2009 for pleading guilty to several charges, including assaulting police, in Queensland.

Southport Magistrates Court fined the self-confessed Big Brother brat $600 at the time.

In 2017, hotel heiress and socialite Paris Hilton boldly took credit for inventing the selfie with singer Britney Spears in 2006 via Twitter.

The extraordinary claim quickly fired up fans, camera connoisseurs and history buffs.

Some credited Robert Cornelius with taking the first selfie in 1939 after he ran into the camera frame to get a picture of himself

Others shared images of people using handheld cameras to take selfies in the early 1900s

The BBC pointed out at the time that the first recorded use of the word ‘selfie’ was on an Australian online forum in 2002 — four years before Paris said she and Britney invented it.
