In November last year, Sonia Kruger dramatically quit Channel Nine on live TV to go to Channel Seven, leaving behind her hosting duties on The Voice and Today Extra.

And now the 54-year-old has admitted that she doesn’t miss the hit singing show.

Speaking on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday, Sonia said she’s been so busy with her new show, Big Brother, that she hasn’t had a chance to look back.

‘Do you miss The Voice?’ Kyle Sandilands asked.

‘I don’t actually, because I’ve been so busy in the Big Brother world that I haven’t had a chance,’ Sonia said, before going on to say that she had a great time hosting Dancing With The Stars with Daryl Somers.

‘This one. I’ve been lucky Jac, I’ve worked on some amazing shows and shows that have have had global franchises,’ Sonia said.

‘But Big Brother is a super brand. It’s what they consider to be the big daddy of all those reality shows. And there’s been so much interest in this particular reincarnation, this re-imagination of Big Brother in 2020.’

The TV personality broke down as she revealed her plans to ‘do something new’ and ‘spread her wings’, while her co-host David Campbell, 46, watched on in shock.

The announcement came after Daily Mail Australia reported that Sonia was defecting from Nine to the Seven Network, after being offered ‘more than $1million a year.’

On Monday, Sonia set the record straight about her rumoured ‘seven figure’ pay offer to the Seven network.

Speaking to TV Week, Sonia denied she defected to her old network over her pay packet.

‘Regardless of what was reported, the money was the same,’ she told the publication in no uncertain terms.

The former Today Extra host said she opted for the change as she wanted to take her career in a new direction.

‘You can stay and keep doing the same thing, but I like to change things up,’ she added.

‘When I left Channel Seven in 2011, I had completed 11 seasons of Dancing With The Stars so I wanted to get out while it was still on top.’
