Bella Hadid has often been compared to Carla Bruni and the ladies have joked about their likeness in the past.
The model, 23, and the former French first lady, 52, have posed with Burberry’s creative director Riccardo Tisci on the cover of ELLE France, and their resemblance has never been so striking.
Wearing quilted dresses from the fashion house, the duo look like mother and daughter in the striking image.

One wrote, ‘Ok but YOU TRULY ARE TWINS’, while another shared, ‘You guys look like a family ❤️’, and a third added, ‘Carla Bruni looks so much like bella’.
Former catwalk model Carla previously joked she’d discovered her ‘hidden daughter’ during a chance meeting with Bella during the Cannes Film Festival in May 2018.
The pair bumped into one another at the Fashion For Relief event and posed for a series of pictures.

Bella – who is the daughter of Yolanda and Mohammed Hadid – seemed to share all the same features as long-lost twin Carla.
From their similar shoulder-length brown haircuts to their straight noses and pursed lips, the duo could hardly be told apart.
Bella has also been following in the Italian-French star’s footsteps by carving out a career in modelling.

She is currently one of the most in-demand campaign and catwalk stars, regularly working with such brands as Dior, Moschino and Balmain.

She subsequently worked with designers and fashion houses such as Givenchy, Paco Rabanne, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano and Yves Saint-Laurent.
While modeling, Carla was also known for dating Eric Clapton and Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger, before going on to marry former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy.
