Backstreet Boys walk down memory lane with 1993 throwback photo as they celebrate 27th anniversary 

The Backstreet Boys recently proved that not even a global pandemic could keep them from making music together.

The beloved boy (turned man) band has been giving us bops since they first formed way back in the early ’90s.

They threw it back to 1993 Monday with a nostalgic candid band photo as they celebrated 27 years together, thanking their fans for the journey.

It was captioned: ‘Today marks 27 years of the Backstreet Boys. On Apr 20, 1993 we were all so young and standing together for the first time as a group. We did not know you yet. Each one of you were but a dream to us. We hoped you’d hear our music. 

‘Then you came…a dozen …a hundred…thousands…millions!? To say we dreamed for this would be an understatement. We know we are here because of you. You were our little dream and now you are all our reality. 

‘Grateful for what each of you has given us and for what’s ahead…As long as there’ll be music…’

So grateful: McLean expressed his gratitude in a video statement: 'Without you guys, I would not have been able to fulfill my passion, my dreams'

It included the hashtags ‘#BSB27’ and ‘#KTBSPA,’ which stands for ‘keep the Backstreet pride alive.

Littrell also posted a throwback of his bandmates, which included songwriter Keith McGuffey (aka Trey D), who served as their bodyguard and opener in 1995.

He wrote: ’27 years ago today I met these fools…. Well, what a ride it continues to be…. #bsbstrong thanks to @keith_mcguffey for the pic…. we are blessed to still be doing it….’

McLean expressed his gratitude in a video statement: ‘Without you guys, I would not have been able to fulfill my passion, my dreams. And to be so grateful to have such a long career and still going strong, I owe everything to you four.’

The seven-time Grammy nominees formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993, releasing their self-titled debut studio album in 1996.

The group has since released nine albums, the most recent being DNA, which came out last year. 

Their latest performance took place last month, as they sang their 1999 hit I Want It That Way from their respective homes for the iHeart Living Room Concert for America.
