Ciarran Stott clashed with Matt Whyatt on Tuesday’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise during a heated dinner party. 

The British export was raging because Matt, who he calls a close friend, quickly began a relationship with his ex, Renee Barrett, upon arriving in paradise.

Over a heated dinner, Ciarran was openly hostile towards Matt for daring to date Renee without discussing it with him first.

He said accused Matt of not having integrity before ranting: ‘I mean, we could’ve spoke before it. Matt didn’t seek my permission before asking Renee on a date. 

‘First thing he did, he whips out a date card and said Renee’s name. You didn’t come and speak to me, pal. 

‘Don’t be a snake. It’s not cool, bro. And that’s, literally, all I wanted to speak to you about it.’

Renee complained: ‘This is a perfect example of Ciarran’s double standards. He’s made my life here in paradise a living hell, and now that I’m finally happy it’s, ‘Oh, no, you needed to seek permission before taking Renee out on a date.’ Get real.’

Matt argued that he would have no issue with Ciarran dating one of his exes – and on top of that, he didn’t see him as a close friend. 

‘I would have no problems because it is my ex for a reason, and I have no connection with her now and it’s none of my business,’ he said.

The other contestants agreed that Ciarran was exhibiting double standards, and Renee had a right to be happy – and although he remained angry, Ciarran appeared to move on from the argument.
