Australian singer Sia surprised fans last month when she revealed she had adopted two 18-year-old sons in 2019.
Now, the 44-year-old has announced she’s become a grandmother.
Appearing on Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the Chandelier hit-maker excitedly revealed: ‘My youngest son just had two babies. I’m a f**king grandma!’

Sia exclaimed on Tuesday’s show: ‘They call me Nana!’
The Grammy-nominated artist joked that she was trying to get her grandchildren to call her ‘Lovey’ instead, like the Kardashian momager Kris Jenner.
She also said her other adopted son ‘recently came out’: ‘He’s just blossoming and is the light of my life. … I love him so much.’
Sia first announced she had adopted her two sons during a video interview with SiriusXM in late May.
The singer, who almost always covers her face in public to maintain her anonymity, smiled as she expressed her love for her new family.
‘I adopted two sons last year. They were 18, they’re both 19-years-old now. They were ageing out of the foster care system and yeah, I love them,’ she explained.
The Adelaide-born singer did not reveal their names nor discuss them further.
During her chat with Zane Lowe, she explained that both her adopted sons – who are Black – have made her more aware of the racial injustice in the United States.
She admitted she was ‘very scared’ for her children, and had to show tough love to the teenagers when they weren’t being transparent with her.
‘I’d say: “I’m doing this because I’m your mother. I love you.”‘
Sia also recalled one emotional conversation she had, saying: ‘I don’t want to see you in prison… With your history and the color of your skin, I don’t want to see you as that five percent that ends up in prison for life. I don’t want that for you.”
