Australian Ninja Warrior contestant Sam Goodall suffered a shocking fall on Tuesday’s show, that left him ‘flat on his back.’

The 32-year-old ‘Tradie Ninja’ sparked concern when he attempted to scale the Warped Wall at the end of the gruelling course.

There were genuine fears for Sam as he struggled to move, with hosts Rebecca Maddern and Ben Fordham asking if he was severely hurt, while his brother-in-law and fellow contestant Zed Colback rushed over to check if he was okay.

‘Oh no, he’s taken a fall. Is he hurt?’ Rebecca asked, both shocked and concerned.

‘There’s a concern in the crowd, Zed’s running in. He’s flat on his back,’ Ben added.

However Sam soon found his feet and got back up, and run up the wall to finish the course in one minute and 38 seconds.

Afterwards, Rebecca told Sam: ‘Talk about giving us a fright!’

Sam said that he’s used to wearing heavy boots at work all day, so he struggled wearing light running shoes.

‘Spend all day in steel caps, it’s a lot heavier, put light shoes on and you can’t keep up with them,’ he said about his fall.

Because of his speedy run through the course, Sam made his way to the Power Tower to verse contestant Matt Filippi on a gruelling challenge.

Sam won the task, saying he ‘feels like his best at the moment.’

He will now go into the semi-finals of the show.

‘So now with some good health, a [time] bonus behind me, it’s a boost of confidence for sure,’ Sam said.

Australian Ninja Warrior continues on Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
