For the first time in Australian Ninja Warrior history, two Ninjas went head-to-head.

The lads were right on each other’s tails until Daniel fell off the beam, crashing to the ground.

He attempted to catch up to Ashlin, adding seconds onto his final time.

However, unfortunately it wasn’t enough, with Ashlin becoming the first Ninja to press the buzzer.

Sideline commentator Freddie Flintoff was on hand to ask how Ashlin was feeling after his victorious run.

‘Yeah that was good fun, I wasn’t sure what to expect but yeah it was good. It was really good fun,’ Ashlin said.

‘I think I knackered myself on the pole a little bit, so I’m a bit sore at the moment,’ he added with a laugh.

Ahead of the premiere, Ben Fordham accused his co-host Rebecca Maddern of ‘stealing’ his idea for the Power Tower obstacle.

‘This year there’s this thing called the Power Tower. I’m pretty sure it was my idea. I had a dream about it and then I told people about the dream,’ he told News.com.au.

‘What Rebecca has then done is she has heard that and then gone and pitched it officially to producers and they’ve run with it.’

But Rebecca has denied stealing Ben’s idea, telling Daily Mail Australia: ‘It’s typical of him to want to put his name to a winner but it’s mine,’ she said.

Australian Ninja Warrior continues Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine
