Ariel Winter shares makeup-free selfies after transforming into a fiery redhead

She recently ditched her trademark brunette tresses for a fresh new look.

And Ariel Winter seemed to be pleased with her new appearance as she posed for a few makeup-free snaps shared to Instagram on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old actress showcased long, brown hair while playing the role of Alex Dunphy for nearly 10 years on the hit sitcom Modern Family, which recently wrapped filming the last episode on its 10th and final season.

Ariel perched up in a chair ready for her close-up from what appeared to be a massive photography studio. 

Her freckled skin took center stage as she positioned her hand underneath her chin for a photo op. 

Winter stayed cozy on set wearing a light grey, crew-neck sweater and let her strawberry blonde tresses relax across her shoulders.

‘Pictured: my face pre makeup,’ she captioned the snap.’Not pictured: my phone under this sweater with the recently downloaded Pokémon Go app waiting for me to catch em all.’

Ariel took the plunge nearly one week ago when she said goodbye to her dark hair in favor of a lighter color.

‘Bye bye dark hair :),’ she wrote alongside a host of selfies before the big transformation. ‘I don’t think I’ll miss you :))).’

Ariel practically grew up on the Modern Family set, which filmed its final episode at the end of February after more than a decade on television.

The show was created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, and quickly drew a cult following as it followed three families living in the Los Angeles area.

Ed O’Neill, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Rico Rodriguez and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons also starred on the show for its entire run, with Jeremy Maguire and Reid Ewing taking on roles for many of the show’s 250-episodes.
