Anthea Turner sports painful looking BLACK EYE after ‘face-planting’ while attempting a backflip during Lip Sync Battle
Anthea Turner showcased a painful looking black eye on Instagram on Friday, after after a backflip went terribly wrong.
The clean Queen, 59, admitted that she had ‘face-planted’ after attempting the daring move while engaging in a Lip Sync Battle.
Anthea told how she thought she ‘got away with it’ after initially putting ice on her eye, but her black eye reared its head the next morning much to her shock.

Alongside a snap of her injury alongside her French bulldog, she penned: ‘Black Eye Shocker!!
‘To cut a long story short it was an over the shoulder back flip that went horribly wrong during a game of Lip Sync Battles and I ended up face planting.
‘To be honest I thought I’d got away with it, bit of an egg on my forehead which with ice was going down rather well, until the next day when I woke up looked in the mirror and saw this horror.’

She continued: ‘OMG a shocker and I have so much work on ……Been doing everything to get rid of it including Arnica tablets, Arnica Balm, and Bromelain (its an enzyme present in pineapple used to reduce inflammation).’
Anthea then explained how she tried to use a plethora of lotions and potions in a bid to get her bruise to go down.
She added: ‘Went running as usual to @bodyvie_mediclinic Kew where they hit the action button laying me under their Dermalux red light for 30 mins which soothes and accelerates healing, then it was a little light lymphatic drainage to help remove the blood sitting around the eye, encouraging it to drain away.
‘My other little home trick I’ve been using for years is to gently stroke the area with my electric toothbrush.

‘Bruise or not I can give myself a stimulating ‘pep me up’ toothbrush facial after a flight or a late night out its amazing and really brightened up your face. When I don’t look so horrific I’ll show you.’
Her shocking post was flooded with messages from worried fans who passed on their well wishes.
Anthea’s accident comes after she was seen locked in a furious feud with her fiancé Mark Armstrong in January as they prepared to jet to New York for a New Year getaway.
It has been claimed that Mark arrived 25 minutes before Anthea before they met and he greeted her with a kiss and they headed to the American Airlines desk.
The star is said to have forgotten to fill out her ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) form which ‘is an automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program’.
Gesticulating wildly, Mark seemed stressed by the turn of events as he spoke to Anthea who went off to attempt to sort out the issue.
Seemingly in anguish, Anthea was strutting along during a phonecall which appeared stressful while she clutched her passport.
The couple eventually made to the Big Apple, during which she documented the stay on her Instagram feed.
In September, the couple confirmed they had become engaged after five months of dating in news that came seven years on from her split from ex-husband Grant Bovey in 2013 – after he cheated on her with a woman half her age.
Anthea moved on from her doomed marriage last year by embarking on a new romance with business tycoon Mark.
