Anna Kendrick says goodbye to 2020 as she dubs the ‘nightmare’ year a ‘rotted b***h’

Like many, Anna Kendrick is not sad to see 2020 go. 

The 35-year-old Pitch Perfect actress had some choice words for the year as she ushered in the new year on December 31. 

Posting a selfie while on a hike, she wrote, ‘2020 you have been a nightmare. Grateful to be seeing the back of you, you rotted b***h.’

Dressed down in a sweater and a grey cap she pulled her face mask down for an outdoor selfie. 

Looking fresh faced she rocked a cross body bag and wore her strawberry locks down. 

Though the year has been tough for everyone, 2020 really hit Anna with a bang as they year came to a close, as her Twitter was hacked on the evening of December 12. 

Not an active user on the site, fans grew suspicious that the account had been overtaken when a series of 30 offensive tweets – some with racist tinges – were blast out.

When access was finally restored to the account, the Love Life star responded to the situation with a sense of humor. 

‘Well, the fun thing about getting my Twitter briefly hacked is that people I hadn’t heard from in years reached out to let me know. So, I guess thank you to my hacker for a little anxiety, and for getting me back in touch with my high school friend James. Cheers.’

Very private with her love life, Kendrick was most recently linked to British cinematographer Ben Richardson who she met while filming her 2013 film Drinking Buddies. 

The two are reportedly still dating and she follows him on social media despite never sharing photos of him.

During quarantine she found a new hobby in Legos as she showed off her talent to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. 

‘I’m doing too much LEGOs, like, I’ve never really done, like, LEGOs—like, the LEGO kits. Turns out, LEGOs are amazing. It’s so much fun. It shouldn’t be this fun. I’m a grown-up, what’s happening?,’ she said. 

Her most recent HBO Max show Love Life – a comedy about dating mishaps – debuted on May 27 and was picked up for a second season in mid-June. 

Additionally she has been praised for her voicing of Poppy in the highly popular animated franchise Trolls which tried its hand at a digital rollout amid the pandemic.  

After three weeks the Trolls World Tour had made over $100M in rental sales.
