Andy Cohen replies to Meghan McCain’s call to cancel The Real Housewives Of Orange County: ‘I think you mean reBOOT’

While some fairly big names are calling for an end to The Real Housewives Of Orange County, Bravolebrity and Real Housewives master of ceremonies, Andy Cohen, isn’t so sure.

The View’s Meghan McCain replied ‘Yes’ to a tweet Thursday which read, ‘It’s time to cancel RHOC’ after an intense season which included following the COVID-19 pandemic and a main castmember coming out as a lesbian.

And that was when Cohen, 52, chimed in with a reply of his own, saying ‘I think you mean reBOOT’.

Prompted by his response, McCain, 36, shared further ‘thoughts’:

‘I have thoughts…. also since I have both of your attention and currently live in the beltway – please Reboot DC housewives PLEASE,’ she wrote, addressing Andy as well as the author of the original tweet, writer Evan Ross Katz.

The beltway Meghan referred to is The Capital Beltway, or I-495 is a 64-mile (103 km) Interstate Highway that surrounds Washington, D.C.

Cohen stated his agreement with McCain about The Real Housewives Of DC, which ran for one season in 2010, stating ‘I loved RHDC’.

Premiering in 2006, The Real Housewives of Orange County is the flagship series of the housewives franchise, which has grown to become something of a reality empire in the Bravo stable.

The calls to end RHOC surely come after this week’s bitter and explosive reunion episode aired.

While the show’s current cast includes Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Kelly Dodd, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas, there is a strong possibility the roster will change yet again.

Dodd has said she will only return for another season as long as Windham-Burke is no longer part of the program.

Among the various points of drama between the two, Kelly has accused Braunwyn of faking her struggles with alcoholism as a ploy to gain attention and have an engaging storyline on the show.

Windham-Burke also burst into tears on Wednesday’s reunion episode, while admitting that she offered ‘drugs’ to Shannon’s teenage daughter.
