Andy, 52, explained how he and Anderson, 53, had been trying to get the boys to connect amid their age difference.

‘The last couple months has been taking Ben over on Saturday or Sunday to have a little hangout with Wyatt for a couple hours,’ he said/

‘And I feel like for the first few times, Ben didn’t really want anything to do with Wyatt, or to even acknowledge him. But I feel like last night was kind of a milestone, don’t you?’

‘Yeah, it was sweet because I was playing with them both and then he kissed Wyatt on the cheek and hugged him and it was so cute,” Cooper said.

‘He did that a couple of times. So my heart kind of melted.’

Due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, the little ones were not able to meet up for months.

The tots’ fathers, however, appear to be making up for lost time, as playgrounds sites reopen with social distancing across New York City.

Cohen’s post certainty delighted his more than four million Instagram followers, as the picture hit more than 50,000 likes in under an hour.

While neither of their sons were pictured, they are both fixtures on their respective fathers’ Instagram accounts.

Cooper also revealed Wyatt already loves Dr. Seuss, ‘particularly, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.’

The first-time father has been opened up about his choice to co-parent Wyatt with his ex-boyfriend Benjamin Maisani, who he split from in 2018 after ten years together.

Speaking in the June Pride issue of People, he said ‘I knew what it was like growing up without a dad,’ adding, ‘If there was ever something that happened to me, I would want Wyatt to be surrounded by love,’ in regards to his father Wyatt Cooper passing away during surgery when he was just 10.

Despite adjusting to his new schedule, which includes waking up around 7 a.m., after anchoring his CNN show every weekday night, his son has ‘changed everything,’ while speaking to WSJ. Magazine in August.

‘It’s changed everything,’ he admitted. ‘I’ve often in my life felt like I was waiting for my actual life to begin – it’s obviously ridiculous because I’m 53 years old – but… I’ve been very focused on getting to some place, getting a story. Because I’m focused on him, it gives an order to everything.’
