He’s been enjoying some much-needed sunshine and relaxation on the French Riviera, after recovering from COVID-19.

And Andrea Bocelli, 61, was the picture of health and fitness on Thursday, when he was spotted donning blue swimming trunks as he took a dip in the ocean off the shores of ritzy St Tropez.

The Italian musician was joined on his luxury yacht by his glamorous wife Veronica Berti, 36, who wowed in a black string bikini as she joined him in the ocean.

Having a good time on the French Riviera: Andrea Bocelli and his wife Veronica Berti were spotted sunning themselves off the shores of St Tropez on Thursday 

Andrea looked relaxed and happy as he chatted with his wife while floating next to their luxury sea vessel in the welcoming azure waters.

Veronica, who also serves as Andrea’s manager, turned heads in her black swimwear of choice, which included contrasting white straps.

Going makeup free for her leisurely day in the sunshine, the brunette beauty wore her lustrous locks in voluminous curls, which fell beyond her shoulders.

She opted to keep her eyes shielded while she swam in the ocean, donning a pair of blue goggles, which she later removed once back on board. 

The couple have been holidaying with their daughter Virginia, eight, and his sons Amos, 25, and Matteo, 22, from his first marriage to Enrica Cenzatti.

In May, musician Andrea admitted he was himself a carrier of the virus, having contracted it – and recovered from it – in March.   

What’s more, he is donating his blood plasma to researchers who are looking at effective ways to battle the illness.

He told Good Morning America at the time: ‘The pandemic which has shaken the world has also affected — albeit mildly — me and certain members of my family. 

‘Out of respect for those for whom contracting the virus has had more serious consequences, I decided it would be best not to share the news.

‘I certainly didn’t want to unnecessarily alarm my fans and also wished to protect my family’s privacy.

‘Given the chance to donate blood to help find a cure for COVID, my response was an immediate ‘yes’. A modest — but fundamental — gesture, through which I am playing my small part.’
