Amy Schumer gets in some family bonding time with her cute son Gene and husband Chris Fischer

Amy Schumer seems to be in a state of bliss now that she is happily married with a son.

The 39-year-old comedienne made that obvious as she was seen in a new image where she was holding her cute boy as her spouse smiled while they were relaxing at home before bedtime.

In her caption, the Snatched actress wrote ‘appreciate every second’ for her 10M Instagram followers.

The blonde stand-up also said it is a trying time after the world has been in self-isolation from COVID-19 and the US has experienced large protests after the shocking death of George Floyd by a police officer.

The entire caption read, ‘Trying time appreciate every second’ as she received over 200K likes in six hours after the post was shared.

Amy was makeup free with her hair unbrushed as she closed her eyes while hugging her little guy.

Husband Chris was smiling as he was seen at the bottom of the frame.

Last week the Trainwreck star said getting cooking tips from her husband was the ‘biggest gift ever.’

The performer and her professional chef spouse teamed up for her new show Amy Schumer Learns to Cook, which was filmed from their own kitchen amid the coronavirus pandemic – and after the season finale aired earlier this month, Amy has said she’s thankful for her husband’s skills in the kitchen.

‘I didn’t really realize that I could make anything. It was a roller-coaster. It was really fun and really rewarding,’ the comedienne told her spouse.

‘I think I got, like, the biggest gift ever that I got to learn from you. It all just feels possible … I’m really proud that I know how to make things now.’

Amy’s new culinary skills means she can explore new avenues, as she recently said the coronavirus pandemic means she’s unlikely to return to stand-up comedy for at least a year.

The actress admitted she is worried about catching the virus from members of her audience if she returns to stand-up too early.

When asked what she would do if someone sneezed during her set, she said: ‘I’ll probably stop talking onstage and just leave. Actually, no, I’ll throw the mic at the person who sneezed and run out the room scream-crying.’

And the I Feel Pretty star said she has become more cautious about her health since becoming a mother.

She explained: ‘I don’t want to be back on a set until I’m sure everything is safe. I’m not going to go to the Comedy Cellar for a year at least. It’s the biggest risk. If I didn’t have a baby, I might be a little more chilled. You care if you die less if you don’t. But now, I’m like, I better stay alive, I guess.

‘For me, it’s all about his safety, his comfort. It used to be (my husband) Chris. Now it goes Gene, then me, then Chris. I’ll be running out of the burning house with Gene and be like: “Are Chris and the dog here?”‘

This comes after she cried on her new docuseries Expecting Amy, which is set for release July 9.

One particularly special moment in the trailer saw the star overwhelmed with joy as she revealed she was pregnant.

Amy tried to hold back her joyful tears as she said: ‘I found out two days ago I’m pregnant.’

But she couldn’t keep her emotions in, breaking down while admitting: ‘I’m so excited.’

The docuseries chronicles the star’s life as she gets married, embarks on a cross-country tour and discovers she’s expecting a child.

She has a new skill: 'I think I got, like, the biggest gift ever that I got to learn from you. It all just feels possible … I'm really proud that I know how to make things now,' said the movie icon

In the trailer there are many tender moments between Amy and Chris, who is by her side throughout her grueling 42 city, 60 show tour.

While getting ready in her dressing room, she tells the cameras: ‘Chris really takes care of me.’

At another point Amy even leans on him and says: ‘I need you to do my act.’

There is also a moment from the couple’s 2018 wedding, where the actress/writer jokingly tells her soulmate: ‘I’m so happy for you, that you found me.’

But the piece isn’t just about her relationship, as Amy’s seen conquering crowds and standing up for what she believes in – at one point captured protesting for reproductive rights in Washington DC with New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
