Amanda Kloots shares an old wedding snap with Nick Cordero while baby son Elvis utters first words

As she tries to pick up the pieces and move on with her ‘new normal,’ Amanda Kloots and her baby son Elvis are making sure to remember what’s truly precious.

The fitness instructor, 38, lost her husband Nick Cordero, a Tony Award-nominated actor, to complications stemming from coronavirus earlier this month – and she’s continued to document her journey through her grief on social media.

And on Sunday, Amanda shared several bittersweet moments to her Instagram, including a collection of old wedding photos she came across showing her and Nick, who passed at 41 years old, in better times.

She also caught on camera the moment their one-year-old son Elvis uttered his first words, while looking at a picture of his late father in a light box.

In the endearing video post, the adorable baby boy stands in a grey onesie, laughing and smiling at the illuminated photo, at one point saying something like, ‘right there!’ after Amanda says, ‘Where’s dada? There’s dada!’

The sweet little child also gives the picture of his dad a kiss, before grabbing the light box and causing it to fall apart, as a child would.

‘Elvis said his first words today!! Listen closely! He pointed at Nick in our new picture light and said “right there,”‘ she captioned the sweet clip.

‘He hasn’t seen Nick since March 30th. The fact that he still knows who his Dada is, point to him and give him a kiss to me is amazing.’

And on her Instagram Stories, Kloots reminisced by sharing some sublime wedding photos, including a shot of the groom himself, with a serious expression on his face as he tied his bow tie.

Nick and Amanda wed in 2017, and gave birth to baby Elvis Eduardo in June of last year.

On Friday, Amanda posted a masked selfie from the car, as she informed her 570k followers that she was headed back to Los Angeles to complete a life transition that was upended by Nick’s illness earlier this year.

‘Heading back to Los Angeles today with a brave face. These next couple weeks I will start the transition of moving into the home Nick and I bought together,’ she wrote.

‘I’m not expecting this to be easy, in fact I think it will be very hard, but I’m going into it knowing I need to be strong. I have to find my new normal, at least whatever that is for Elvis and I right now.

‘I know Nick will be with us,’ Kloots continued. ‘He wanted to live in this house more than anything so I’ll put lots of family photos up and make sure his presence is with us.’
