Amanda Holden rages at husband Chris Hughes and admits they often argue over his late-night snacking

They’ve been married for over a decade and share two young daughters. 

And, Amanda Holden, 49, raged at husband Chris Hughes after ‘catching him’ in the fridge in the middle of the night and branded him a ‘greedy pig!’. 

Speaking on her Heart Radio breakfast show, the actress admitted they often argue over his late-night snacking as she detailed his habit of raiding the cupboards.

Amanda said: ‘He’s always snacking. I come down to the fridge in the morning or in the middle of the night and he’s just standing there – basically in the fridge.’ 

‘I really do judge him on it, especially when he does it late at night.

‘I had saved some posh cheese puffs from M&S and I was so excited to have a bag yesterday evening.

‘But you know what? I went down to the snack cupboard and opened it up, and all six bags were gone – greedy pig!’

After fuming about her husband’s late-night snacking habits, Amanda added: ‘I came down to the kitchen this morning and there was a teaspoon sat on the side of the counter.

‘He ate my bl**dy box of tiramisu! He’s like a fox in the garden leaving his trail behind him. He couldn’t even put the spoon away.’

Amanda also revealed that the pair have had the same argument numerous times, and so on this occasion she wrote him a letter.

She said: ‘I left him a note complaining, I said we need to look through the evidence. He’ll be quivering in his boots by the time I get back in the door.’    

Amanda and Chris tied the knot in 2008 at Babington House, Somerset, two years after welcoming their first child.

The presenter and her husband share daughters Lexi, 14, and Hollie, 8, who they’ve been enjoying spending time with during lockdown.
