Amanda Holden brightens up a rainy day in a bold winter wear ensemble as she is seen leaving her Heart Radio job

She is one of Britain’s most well-known personalities and puts on a sensational display for work every day.

And Amanda Holden brought some light to an otherwise drizzly day as she was seen leaving Heart Breakfast radio studios in central London on Friday.

The presenter, 49, looked incredible as she wrapped up in an over-sized cream sweater and matching woollen overcoat for the venture out in to the cold.

Stormy: Amanda Holden brought some light to an otherwise damp day as she was seen leaving Heart Breakfast radio studios in central London on Friday

She paired the bright look with a matching satin skirt featuring a thigh-high slit and some knee-length boots.

The talent show judge kept her blonde locks fall loosely around her shoulders, only for the wind to take advantage of her long hairdo.

But the star didn’t let the stormy conditions get her down, as she was seen leaving work with a warm smile.

Amanda had been presenting a Leap Year Proposals special in the Heart Radio studio with co-host Jamie Theakston, which saw five couples pop the question.

The personality has recently been trolled for advising people how to cope with coronavirus, despite having no medical background.

In light of the news that COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus, has infected more than 80,000 and caused 2,700 deaths, Amanda accused the public of falling foul to ‘hysteria’.

Addressing her 1.9 million Twitter followers on Thursday, the Britain’s Got Talent presenter claimed the media was making the virus seem more dangerous than it is –  but got her facts wrong.

Amanda, 49, penned: ‘The current mortality rate for the Corona virus is 2% which is roughly equivalent to a common flu virus. The 24 hr incessant mainstream media has a lot to answer for creating such hysteria.

‘Wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your nose eyes and ears. [heart]’

Amanda was correct on the current mortality average for coronavirus. It is considered by the World Health Organisation to be approximately 2 per cent, but is fluctuating as more data comes in.

However, the mortality rate for seasonal flu is lower.

In the US, data from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention indicates a mortality rate closer to 0.1 per cent in a standard flu season in America over the past decade.
