She’s spent lockdown working out every single day and credited exercise with helping her mental health.

And Alexandra Burke proudly showed off the fruits of her hard fitness labour as she posed in a striking thigh-high slit dress for her latest Instagram snap on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old singer flaunted her sensational figure in the beige plaid sleeveless garment, which emulated the silhouette of a qipao dress.

The former Strictly star was sure to command attention on social media with the thigh-flashing look as she posed infront of a whitewashed brick wall.

Alexandra continued her glamorous appearance as she teamed the statement piece with a pair of tan-coloured pointed stilettos.

The X Factor winner worked her waist-length locks into a soft mermaid-inspired wave and sported a flawless make-up look.

Captioning her photo on Instagram, she penned: ‘Couldn’t think of a caption… but I felt real cute. So thought I’d post..’.

Earlier this month, Alexandra showcased her incredible figure as she stripped down to a printed Tommy Hilfiger bikini while posing in her garden in a throwback snap posted to her Instagram page on Wednesday.

The singer opted for a fresh-faced look as she swept her braided tresses away from her face in a high ponytail.

Flaunting her toned torso, the Broken Heels songstress tossed her hair to the side and went barefoot as she posed in the leafy setting.

Posting on Instagram to her 199,000 followers, she captioned the snap: ‘Ok sunshine, you can come back now. Thanks Hun.’

It comes after Alexandra made an emotional revelation that she was told to bleach her skin after she won The X Factor in 2008.

She spoke in a candid Instagram video last month in which she said she was told she would have to work ‘ten times harder than a white artist’.

Alexandra also delved into the ‘microagressions’ she experienced from various music labels throughout her career and how she has struggled.

The star, who was visibly shaken, explained: ‘The music industry is such a funny little place. I love signing, I love what I do but if it wasn’t for the love that I have for music I definitely wouldn’t be in this industry.

‘A few reasons are, when I won the X Factor I was told, ”Right, because you are black, you are going to have to work 10 times harder than a white artist, because of the colour of your skin…

‘You can’t have braids, you can’t have an afro, you can’t have anything that basically is my identity, you have to have hair, for example, that appeals to white people so they can understand you better.”

‘That was so hard to digest. I was told to bleach my skin and that was something I refused to do.’

MailOnline has contacted X Factor representatives for comment.

Alexandra did not specify who gave her the instructions or made the comments, nor when they were made in the wake of her victory.
