Alex Reid’s fiancée Nikki Manashe has started fourth round of IVF

Alex Reid’s fiancée Nikki Manashe has started her fourth round of IVF treatment after previously suffering five miscarriages.

In September last year Alex – who was previously married to Katie Price between 2010 and 2012 – announced he and Nikki lost their fifth child following another round of IVF.

The couple have been sharing their IVF journey on Instagram and have recently posted an update revealing Nikki is undergoing another round of treatment.

Alex, 44, has been engaged to Nikki, 34, who is an IVF health blogger, since 2014.

Nikki has suffered one ectopic pregnancy and three miscarriages since then. One of the prior miscarriages was twins.

However the couple have continued their dream of having a ‘rainbow baby’, as both Alex and Nikki shared she was having more treatment on their social media pages.

In one touching post, Alex shared an image of Nikki wearing a hospital gown with a cannula in her arm alongside a caption which read: ‘Just have to do a shout out to the bravest lady I know.

‘Your determination to stay strong whilst helping others on this journey is truly incredible! Baby Reid here we come/ @ivf_chasing_dreams.’

Alex also posted several live videos on his grid, including one which said: ‘Update ….We are good to go. Bring on tomorrow! My champions are waiting!!! Let’s get that golden egg Doctor Venkat.’

Speaking to Fabulous magazine earlier this month, the couple revealed they had begun treatment at The Harley Street Fertility Clinic, five months after their most recent loss.

Nikki explained: ‘We usually take a year out so we can recover from our loss, but I’m not getting any younger and we are desperate to welcome baby Reid.’

In September last year, Alex announced he and Nikki had lost their fifth child following another heartbreaking round of IVF.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star posted the sad news to Instagram with a poignant quote.

Alex posted a quote which read: ‘I never got to hold you or bounce you on my lap. I never got to read to you or watch you as you nap. You slipped away so quickly before I said your name. And I want the world to know, I loved you just the same.’

He captioned this: ‘It brings me with great sadness that I have to write this post. Today we lost our 5th baby Phoenix Reid. No words can describe the pain that couples go through who lose a child.

‘My amazing partner @ivf_chasing_dreams has been through so much from painful treatments to operations time and time again.

‘Women who go through IVF I salute your bravery, men who stand by there sides I respect you. We will have our happily ever after. But for now it’s time to rest and heal a broken heart [sic].’

Nikki shared the news as well, posting the quote: ‘You were carried for only a moment, but are loved for a lifetime.’

The IVF health blogger has coached more than 2000 women privately and helped spread awareness, with diet plans and dealing with the emotional journey that comes with IVF.

She captioned her Instagram post with: ‘A lot of people have asked me how my IVF cycle has gone as it’s been shared publicly with me blogging my journey on my Instagram. I have decided to do a one off post to explain.

‘Last week we thought we would be sharing some lovely news with you all when I hit my second trimester. When we went for our baby scan we could not see the baby. He or she had passed early on in the pregnancy leaving behind the pregnancy sac, this is called a Blighted Ovum (missed miscarriage).

‘My body still thinks I’m pregnant for all those weeks after the baby had passed, hormones still being released and everything apart from the baby is still growing.

‘We are heart broken but can not give up on hope. It is my Devine right to be a mother. Having now lost 5 babies we are determined to meet our rainbow baby. I have so much sympathy for others going through this because it really does break your sole.

‘I am a warrior I will keep on going but I’ve decided from now on I will be not blogging anymore. I’ve done some great things sharing my journey but it’s to hard to keep on helping others right now.

‘I know so much needs to be said and done to raise awareness but I’m only one person and I think right now I need to focus on healing my heart and getting stronger to try again for my miracle child/twins. God bless to all going through a loss [sic].’

She also posted: ‘It’s taken me a long time to go public because it was such amazing news again and I got pregnant from my IVF cycle. Unfortunately today the scan confirmed that Baby Phoenix Reid was no longer viable.

‘We are heart broken and devastated. I was so excited to announce this baby but unfortunately I am announcing my 5th angel baby in heaven [sic].’
